Hello all,
Aaron A has gone to Vegas for the final playoffubergame of whatever sport everyone is so excited about. Just kidding, I know it is basketball of some sort. I might even know that it is college, or I may be wrong...anyway, it is apparent that I do not follow any sports.
What I do follow, however, is the tried and true, dyed in the wool traditions of our forefathers and mothers and sisters and brothers, traditions that were brought across the ocean and disseminated across the land before basketball even knew what the heck rubber was and Chuck Taylor's mother's mother wasn't even a gamete.
I am not talking about prostitution or Christmas, I am talking about drinking. Or to be more specific, drinking in the tradition of the legendarily drinkingest people of all time (pipe down you germans) THE IRISH.
FAC ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
On a day when everyone can be pseudo-Irish and have an excuse to pinch the crap out of each other, what better way to celebrate than go to a pseudo-Irish bar: Lucky Joe's! We will begin around 4:30 pm, continuing until whenever. Reguler specials listed below, they will have a band called The Commoners playing, and probably have some specials special to St. Pat's. Friday - Fish-n-Chips This Irish traditional favorite is done to perfection every Friday for $5.95. Add Clam Chowder if you're real hungry. Happy Hour 3 - 7 with a half priced snack menu and $1 off all wells, wines and drafts :) Here is your official St. Patty's Day greeter:
The if you hear a rustle in the hedgerow, don't be alarmed now, this is the gateway to the land of Faerie:
And here is the dude that started it all, by supposedly sending the snakes out of Ireland which is of course a metaphor for Bobby Knight out of the NCAA tournament so early.... Or something....
