FAC

OKAY people. FAC notice is super late this week but ya'll knew it would show up eventually...for better or worse.

This week I thought it would be a good idea to try the Steakout Saloon. For those of you that do not know where that is, it resides directly West of Trailhead, and therefore, directly North of the Rio. We can migrate if it is called for later. Show up around 4:30!

Oh, here is some holiday cheer:

FAC

Greetings all!

It's been a while since I have seen your shining faces outside of this place and frankly I'm kind of upset about it.

We all seem to be suffering from a nasty case of Wecantseemtogettogetheranymore-itis. Fortunately there is a cure. To get over our sickness we should meet at the East Coast. I mean the bar, not the beaches of the Atlantic, although we might be able to swing that next week. I'll check for cheap tickets. Street address is 238 Linden in Fort Collins, America.

Let's shoot to meet there at 5:00 PM. Like always, we are always up for moving around to other places.

Bring your party shoes. Bring your friends if they have party shoes. We'll drink, have some good laughs and act like this baby panda. Only don't roll around like that... bar floors are no place to be.

ThAC

Hi folks-

Just a note to remind you that we are going to blow this popsicle stand early on Thursday and go partake in some Rio madness. I think the goal is to leave here around 3:30, meet at the Rio, and begin celebrating the long weekend. Someone will need to accompany Berri so she is not verbally attacked by any hoodlums or Enrique Iglesias wannabes.

I can't even tell you how a nice frosty marg sounds right now. It's about 600 degrees in this building today. It's that whole running a marathon through the Mojave, seeing mirages, incredible sort of hot in here where only certain kinds of reptiles can be comfortable.
I'm pretty excited. This one should be a good one. Let's do each other a favor and pay attention to the limits (at the Rio itself and our own limits). I am including this little bit of mom-advice mostly for my own benefit, by the way. I can't bail any of you out of jail. I am way too broke. Call a friend. Call a cab. Sleep in my car... I don't care. Just kidding... but seriously, that's an option.

Have a good couple of days. Work late in the sauna today, come in early, use some leave, leave early on Thursday. See you at the Rio!!

FAC absentee

Hey everyone.

I know that I cannot make it to FAC this week. (Hush now, this is the first one I have missed) The other half of the epoxy holding FAC together, Audrey Anna, said she may not be able to make it either. SOOOOO -- all you that want to go to FAC together need to invite each other! I don't know where she is going, but I will be at a birthday party at the Melting Pot! Yeah! Fondue rocks!

Oh, here is a tiny frog:

***Update: Never made it to the birthday party, my friend lost a fellow EMT is a terrible accident.****

FAC again...

Howdy again --

I wanted to tell you guys in advance about FAC, I mean ThAC next week. Due to the Veteran's Day Holiday, we will be going to the RIO (yes we will try it again and everyone will show up early or sit on the floor and I will NOT get verbally abused waiting for my late coworkers).

So there is you first warning, Rio madness, Thursday the 9th, NO LATER THAN 4:00pm, so work longer days to build up some hours, or come in early, or use some leave people.....

Also, did you notice that I didn't add a link to the Road 34 website. The reason why? It is blocked by WebSense. Must be an EXCELLENT bar.

FAC of the Dead

Howdy all --

Well, it has been quite a couple of weeks. Prime time for a great FAC!
This Friday we will be patronizing ROAD 34, a fairly new bar where Diamonds Billiards/Bar used to be.
I have never been there, but I have heard good things.
Address: 1213 W Elizabeth (south side of the street near Jim's Wings and Sonic)

They have $2 New Belgium pints AFTER 8 pm (lame), but they serve ice cold Sparks (awesome!)

If you don't know what a Sparks is -- it is like the ZIMA of the oughts, a malt beverage with energy drink properties built right in!
It's red bull and Old English mixed together. If that is not alluring I don't know what is.

Oh, happy Day(s) of the Dead:

Just kidding:

FAC

IS IT TIME YET?!?!?!?!

This week the FAC will be held at Pitchers (1100 W Drake Rd) starting around 4:15. A handful of us are going to give it a trial run around 4:00 today so if anyone is available (sorry about the short notice) you should join. We're all about quality assurance here folks.

Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow. It sounds like we all need it!

Heather says they have trivia so that will be fun. Let's have some brewskis and forget that we have jobs!

Smile (or bite someone) like this tiger... it's almost Friday! Please forward this to anyone you think would like to come.

****Update of sorts****
This was at the time when MANY of us at work were very disgruntled. You should have seen this ThAC.....

FAC

Hey all,

In the spirit of ethnic diversity, we are going to Lucky Joe's to be Irish for awhile and then to be Greek at the Northern Colorado Greek Festival for FAC this week.

What is FAC you ask? Friday Afternoon Club! Or Fish And Chips! Or both!

Where is Lucky Joe's you ask? In Old Town Square on the Southwest sector (around the corner from Beau Joe's). Preview food/events/specials here: http://www.luckyjoes.com/

Where is this Greek Festival you ask? All over Old Town according to my sources, Friday evening from 5 to 10pm, no togas, no fraternities, we're talking actual Greek people and thier descendents here folks.

Why should you come you ask? Well, all the cool kids are doing it. It's fun. It's different. Get to know your co-workers.

Oh, and let me show you my huge muscles....

Er, mussel.

Hey y'all!

So this week is the Trailhead Tavern, which is on Mountain Ave 1/2 block west of College in old town. Either parking garage is very close.
4:00 Friday afternoon. Let's not have any gas explosions or illness or bad things happen, 'kay?

Oh, and here is a tiny marsupial, a sugar glider to be exact:

Friday Afternoon Club

FAC for this week...

Hey there,

A few of us cool kids are going to get together after work on Friday at around 4:00 to have some beverages, food, and socialize. Please join us! Invite other fun people.
If you would like to vote on a location we have narrowed it down to 3 places, selected for their variety of beverage, serving food, and having an outdoor patio for smokers in the bunch.

Tailgate Tommy's (now located where County Cork was on Drake)
Woody's (on Laurel)
Crown Pub (on College in Old Town)

Let me know if you have any preference. Oh, and here is a tiny tortoise, enjoy:
